New Season 2021-22

The AGM took place as arranged on Monday night. All went well although we failed to elect a President and the post remains vacant. The meeting agreed the winter season would commence on Tuesday 21st September 2021, hopefully bringing to an end this enforced nightmare.
Please note we strongly recommend all covid safety measures remain in place.
The meeting did agree however that the provision of refreshments would be at the discretion of each club, it was suggested that clubs not providing refreshment should, as a courtesy, notify their opponents before the game.
As you will all recall the winter league consists of three rounds of pairs. and six of singles , the singles using the five card format. Five cards will be dealt, two card then placed in the box. The looser of the initial cut to receive three point, we play once round the board, and the laying of card stops when one player reaches or is as close to 31 as possible.[I have not explained that very well but I know it will all fall into place once we start playing]
Matches must start by 8.30pm result sheets must be returned to the Results Secretary by Wednesday to allow her time to amend her records and to prepare the League Table.
