1) Comment Forms

The comments made on the blog page are retained on site to be viewed by future visitors. The commenter's IP address and the browser user agent string are also collected to assist with the detection of spam.
An anonymized string created from the commenter's email address may be provided to the company Gravatar to ascertain if the commenter is using their avatar service. The Gravatar service privacy policy can be viewed at https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of comment, the avatar, (if registered) is only shown in the context of your comment.

2) Photographs and Images

We are pleased to place league members relevant photographs/images on site to enhance visitor's experience. If you do not wish to share location and camera details, photograph properties can be easily deleted before display. 3) Contact Forms

Emails sent from the contact form are not encrypted so only the minimum details required to reply are requested. On the rare occasion when you may have sensitive information please use the contact form to arrange a meeting with the appropriate league official.

4) Cookies

When you first visit the website we notify you at the bottom of the page that we use cookies. These cookies are used to analyze visitor traffic on site and also through Google Analytics.
When an article is edited or published, an additional cookie is saved in the editor's browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article just edited. It expires after 1 day.

5) How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

6) What rights you have over your data

You can request that we erase any photographs and/or personal data we hold about you. For example, if a league team member no longer wishes to have his/her name displayed on site or your comment read, please contact the secretary and he will remove it immediately. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

7) Where we send your data

As detailed above visitor comments are checked through an automated spam detection service. However, at no time will Clacton Cribbage give, sell or communicate personal information not displayed on the website to any third party.
